About the role
Cozens Johansen Lawyers is seeking a driven and organised Paralegal / Administrative Assistant to join our dynamic team in our Darwin office. In this role, you will provide vital administrative and paralegal support to our legal professionals, ensuring the smooth running of our practice. With a focus on client service, you will play a key part in delivering exceptional outcomes for our clients.
What you'll be doing
- Providing high-level administrative support including assisting with conveyancing processes and the organisation of litigation files (physical and digital)
- Assisting with administrative tasks such as opening files, creating invoices, reconciling payments,
- Maintaining electronic and physical filing systems and databases
- Liaising with clients, courts, and other external stakeholders as required
- Offering general office support and contributing to a positive team environment
What we're looking for
- Experience in a paralegal or administrative support role, preferably within a legal environment
- Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a professional and client-focused approach (including the ability to keep all client matters confidential)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and experience with legal databases and case management systems
- A keen eye for detail and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- A genuine interest in the legal industry and a commitment to providing exceptional client service
