Key ResponsibilitiesKey areas of responsibility include:
- Lead and supervise a team of 40+ during night shift operations
- Ensure accurate production in line with artisan techniques and daily schedules
- Maintain high standards of quality control and food safety (HACCP, WHS)
- Oversee dough preparation, mixing, scaling, and molding according to artisan methods
- Provide training, coaching, and performance management to team members
- Conduct shift handovers and communicate production updates with day shift management
- Complete shift reports, manage incidents, and support process improvements
About youWe are looking for a passionate leader with experience in high-volume food production, ideally in a bakery setting. You'll bring a hands-on approach to team management and a strong focus on safety, quality, and efficiency.
- AQF Certificate III in Food Processing or equivalent
- Proven experience in a bakery or food manufacturing environment
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Hands-on experience with artisan bread production preferred
- Strong understanding of HACCP, WHS, and food safety regulations
- Ability to lead and motivate large teams in a fast-paced setting
- Experience troubleshooting production issues and improving processes
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Flexibility and resilience to manage night shifts and physical tasks
