Your Adventure: Army Duck Tour Guide – Storyteller of the Rainforest

As an Army Duck Tour Guide, you'll be the voice and face of an unforgettable rainforest and waterway experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Engaging Tours: Conduct captivating 45-minute guided tours, sharing fascinating insights into the rainforest ecosystem, wildlife, and Indigenous culture.

  • Become a Wildlife Ambassador: Educate guests about the unique flora and fauna, fostering a love for biodiversity.

  • Create Memorable Moments: Deliver exceptional guest experiences through dynamic storytelling and genuine interaction.

  • Ensure Guest Safety: Prioritise the safety and comfort of all guests by adhering to strict safety protocols.

  • Care for Our Ducks: Assist with the basic upkeep and maintenance of the Army Duck vehicles.

  • Champion Conservation: Promote the importance of rainforest conservation and inspire environmental awareness.

What We're Looking For:

  • A genuine interest in the rainforest, wildlife, and cultural heritage.

  • Strong storytelling and public speaking abilities.

  • An unwavering commitment to safety and guest satisfaction.

  • Willingness to obtain or currently hold a Light Rigid (LR) Driver's Licence or higher, with the ability to obtain a Driver's Authorisation.

  • Ability to adapt to changing conditions and deliver high-quality tours consistently.

  • Happy to assist with the local Kuranda Shuttle Run for Tropic Wings.

Essential Requirements

For this role, you must be willing to undergo a pre-employment Drug and Alcohol Screening. Successful candidates will also be required to obtain a Working with Children: Blue Card.
