Tropic Tours is a locally owned boutique eco-tour operator based in Cairns, showcasing the Wet Tropics World Heritage Rainforest, Cassowary Coast, and Atherton Tablelands.

About the Role

We're looking for an enthusiastic and motivated all-rounder to assist in Reservations, Operations & Sales to join our team at our Cairns Northern Beaches office.

This is a varied, hands-on role suited to a tourism professional who enjoys diversity in their day, takes pride in their work, and values being part of a supportive, purpose-driven team.

You'll coordinate bookings, liaise with guests and partners, and ensure tours run seamlessly from start to finish — helping to create memorable, sustainable travel experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage daily tour reservations and customer enquiries
  • Liaise with guides, agents, suppliers, and guides to coordinate smooth operations
  • Process bookings, confirmations, and payments via our online systems
  • Assist with data entry, reporting, and logistics
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and support
  • Contribute to marketing, trade partnerships, and business development as the business grows

Required Skills

  • Experience using Google Sheets, shared inboxes, Rezdy (or similar booking platforms), payment gateways and supplier portals.
  • Confident in managing customer databases and accurate data entry
  • Strong computer literacy and professional written communication
  • Advantageous: experience in social media posting, content creation, or marketing support
