About Me

I'm a man in my 60's living in my own home. I'm a very friendly and social person and have lots of interests. I'm really into gardening and photography now. I enjoy music, including lots of stuff from the 60s and the Beatles.

About the Role

The role is ideal for someone who loves to cook and spend time in the garden. We'll spend most of our time together preparing meals for the week, using some of the herbs and veggies I grow, menu planning, and grocery shopping. I'm keen to develop my cooking skills and build up a recipe collection on my tablet so I can do more cooking independently.

We might also do things like go for a walk in the wetlands or drive to the airport where I can take photos when we have extra time.

It's important to be patient, friendly, and gentle because I can get anxious about things sometimes.

A successful applicant will be organized, practical, reliable, motivating and enthusiastic. This role involves working closely with my family and the support team around me to deliver support in line with my vision for a good life.

Hours

We'll work together from 9-2 pm on Mondays. Some flexibility in the timing may be possible but I like to keep a regular schedule once we establish the time.

Remuneration and Training

The role starts at level 2.1 casual rate of $41.76 per hour.
