Meriton has been building award-winning apartments for over 60 years, with around 80,000 delivered across Sydney, Brisbane, Gold Coast, Melbourne and Canberra. .

We are now seeking a Building Claims Administrator to join our Defects Team. This role will see you working closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to support the full lifecycle of building claims, from identification through to resolution.

What you'll be doing:

  • Assisting with the management of building claims from initiation, assessment and investigation through to resolution
  • Reviewing and analysing defects, expert reports and maintenance procedures to determine causes and solutions
  • Coordinating with stakeholders including construction, legal, contracts, finance, strata managers and owners' corporations
  • Maintaining accurate documentation, records, correspondence and reports in line with legal and regulatory requirements
  • Tracking contractor progress and coordinating site maintenance teams, building managers, installers and contract management
  • Managing portal correspondence, expert appointments and Strata Bond Scheme requirements
  • Conducting site visits as required

About you:

  • Previous experience in construction, building defects, insurance claims administration or related fields
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for liaising with diverse stakeholders
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and maintain accurate records
  • Proficiency with software platforms and comfortable learning new systems
  • Knowledge of builder warranty obligations in NSW and QLD highly regarded
