About the role

We are seeking an experienced Landscape Foreman to join our dynamic team at Martin Brothers Contracting in South Brisbane, QLD. As the Landscape Foreman, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the execution of landscaping projects, ensuring high-quality work and efficient team coordination. This full-time position offers the opportunity to contribute to the success of our growing business and work in a collaborative, supportive environment.

What you'll be doing

  1. Supervise and coordinate a team of landscaping workers to complete projects on time and to a high standard
  2. Organise and schedule work activities, allocate tasks, and monitor progress to ensure efficient workflow
  3. Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to address any issues and ensure customer satisfaction
  4. Oversee the implementation of landscaping designs, including planting, paving, and other landscaping works
  5. Ensure compliance with relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations
  6. Provide on-site training and mentoring to less experienced team members
  7. Maintain accurate records and documentation related to project activities

What we're looking for

  1. Significant experience (5+ years) as a Landscape Foreman or in a similar supervisory role within the landscaping industry
  2. Thorough understanding of landscaping techniques, materials, and equipment
  3. Strong project management and problem-solving skills to coordinate and deliver complex landscaping projects
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with clients, subcontractors, and team members
  5. Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team, providing guidance and mentoring as needed
  6. Familiarity with relevant health and safety regulations and the ability to ensure compliance on-site
  7. Valid driver's licence and the ability to operate landscaping equipment
