About the role

A career opportunity exists for an experienced leader looking for a rewarding role with a positive impact.

We are seeking a Service Manager with a strong clinical background to provide holistic care, operational excellence and supervision to staff at our Barcoo Multipurpose Service in Blackall

You will manage the day-to-day clinical, financial, hospitality, administration, maintenance and lifestyle operations of the site. Responsible for a range of personal care, therapies and accommodation options, you will ensure our residents and clients receive a high standard of care and quality of life.

Yes, it's a big job, but we believe it will be equally as rewarding

You'll be well supported with a team of clinical carers who will benefit from your strong leadership and motivational style. Support will also come from working closely with the Regional Manager and regional support team in relation to quality and compliance management.

About you

You are driven by challenges and looking for a role where your input will make a real and substantial difference to the lives of our residents. You may have managed a residential aged care service before or be equally as enthusiastic about doing so. You will have a strong clinical background and the ability to effectively implement changes at an organisational level, and to develop a work team through the process.

You will have the following qualifications and experience:

  • A current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse;
  • Experience leading and mentoring a clinical care workforce, in the aged care industry;
  • Knowledge of the accreditation system, as well as funding & regulatory requirements for aged care facilities;
  • A current driver's licence and ability to obtain a national police certificate.

Importantly, you will be someone who closely aligns with our organisational values of: Unconditional Love, Continual Innovation, Mutual Trust and Wise Stewardship.

Who we are

We offer over 200 services in more than 100 communities positively impacting around 45,000 lives each year. Our care services range from children, youth and family services, early intervention and protection, affordable housing, and seniors and support living, making us one of Australia's largest, most diverse not-for-profit organisations.

We operate 23 residential aged care services that include specialties such as dementia, palliative and respite care.

Imagine working for us

Our values encourage us to be accepting of differences and embrace all. Our size and variety offers you real choice and opportunities to grow your career. You'll also find we offer a family friendly work culture.

Accommodation and relocation will be negotiated with the successful candidate.

Remuneration packages come complete with salary-packaging benefits that can increase your take-home pay along with a generous five weeks of annual leave and the ability to purchase more (for eligible employees). To ensure your career can grow, we are constantly exploring innovative training and development programs. Most importantly, you will help us to positively impact the lives of thousands of vulnerable Australians. Just imagine that.
