Senior Program Manager – Securing Water for Data Centers $1,200–$1,500 per day + Super | Contract Opportunity | Parramatta / Hybrid

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Senior Program Manager to lead a strategic, high-impact program — Securing Water for Data Centers — focused on meeting the anticipated 250% growth in water demand** from the data center sector over the next decade.

This initiative is critical to ensuring sustainable water services, supporting future digital infrastructure, and driving policy and regulatory reform across government and industry.

About the role As the Senior Program Manager, you will:

  • Lead the end-to-end design and delivery of the Securing Water for Data Centers program.
  • Establish an enterprise-wide framework for water security, innovation, and sustainability.
  • Influence external policy, regulatory reform, and stakeholder engagement across multiple sectors.
  • Oversee governance, interdependencies, budgets, and program performance.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and senior leaders within a matrix structure.
  • Represent the organisation in discussions with government, regulators, and strategic partners.
  • Drive continuous improvement and embed agile, transparent delivery practices.

This role will suit a seasoned program leader who is comfortable operating in ambiguity, defining frameworks from the ground up, and engaging confidently at senior levels across internal and external networks.

About you You'll bring:

  • Extensive experience managing large-scale, transformational, or regulatory reform programs in infrastructure, utilities, or government sectors.
  • Strong capability in stakeholder engagement, advocacy, and collaboration across complex environments.
  • Demonstrated expertise in program governance, financial management, and benefit realisation.
  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline with Program/Project Management certifications (e.g. MSP, PMP, PRINCE2, AIPM).
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and influencing skills.
  • A proactive and strategic mindset, with the ability to work effectively in a hybrid, fast-paced setting.
