Randstad is currently recruiting for multiple AO3 Service Officers for a role with Queensland State Government based in Southport. In this role, you will negotiate appropriate actions to recover outstanding and finalising debts. We're looking for individuals who thrive in fast-paced environments and have a proven ability to deliver exceptional customer service, particularly when managing customer accounts.

This is a time-sensitive role, applications will close by end of the day on Wednesday November 26.

We are interviewing for this role ASAP to confirm an early January 2026 start date. This is initially a 5 month assignment until June 2026, with the potential to extend. This is a standard full time working week on a rotating roster between the hours of 8am - 5pm, paying $50.37 per hour plus super.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing a high-quality customer experience, you'll approach situations with empathy and resilience.
  • Effectively manage a high volume of inbound and outbound customer calls and interactions regarding complex account and payment matters.
  • Apply legislative knowledge to make informed decisions.
  • Educate customers of policies and repayment procedures.
  • Handle questions and complaints, escalating when needed, and keep accurate records.

Skills/experience required:

  • Experience gained within Banking, Insurance, Financial Services, or Sales environments will be highly regarded, specifically in roles focused on Complex Account Management, Conflict Resolution, or Debt Recovery.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with experience managing complex or sensitive situations.
  • Demonstrated high-level proficiency in various computer systems and CRM platforms, with an ability to quickly adapt to new technology.
  • Strong interpersonal abilities, with a background in working collaboratively within a team.
  • Experience in interpreting and applying relevant legislation and procedures to ensure compliance.
  • Ability to build relationships and effectively engage with a diverse range of customers.
  • Proven ability to meet individual and team KPIs in a target-driven professional environment.
  • A highly motivated individual, focused on achieving personal goals and actively supporting team success.
  • Able to work on rotating shifts Monday-Friday 8am-5pm.
  • Must be able to pass a criminal history check to be successful for the role.
