A leading multidisciplinary design practice recognised for its contemporary aesthetic, rigorous design thinking, and commitment to crafted detail is seeking a mid-level interior designer to join its Melbourne studio. In this role, you'll contribute significantly to a major high-end residential project, supporting product research, materials specification, and FF&E coordination. This is an excellent opportunity for a designer with a passion for refined interiors, thoughtful detailing, and quality craftsmanship to help shape an ambitious, design-driven project.

Key responsibilities

  • Support the design team on a luxury residential project with a strong focus on FF&E and finishes
  • Research and source materials, furniture, and products to align with the project's design direction
  • Prepare design presentations and mood boards to communicate creative intent
  • Collaborate with the senior team to refine concepts and ensure design consistency
  • Contribute hands-on creative input across all stages of the design process

Skills & experience

  • 4-6 years' experience in interior design with experience in high-end residential interiors
  • Strong FF&E knowledge, with excellent sourcing and specification skills
  • Proficient in SketchUp and/or AutoCAD experience
  • Detail-oriented with a passion for contemporary design
  • Strong communicator with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
