Job Description
KM Property Funds, a KordaMentha Group entity, manages a diverse portfolio of real estate investments on behalf of retail, wholesale, and institutional investors. With a current portfolio exceeding $750 million, our assets span multiple sectors, with a strategic emphasis on industrial properties. Our investments range across the core, core-plus, and value-add spectrums, reflecting our dynamic and growth-oriented approach.
We are seeking a dedicated Assistant Development Manager to support the execution of our development initiatives, with a particular focus on the industrial sector. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-impact projects and work alongside a team of experienced professionals in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the industrial acquisitions team with underwriting the development/capex plans for pipeline deals.
- Appoint and manage various external consultants and contractors to deliver projects including but not limited to external architects, project managers, town planners, engineers, and builders.
- Analyse and prepare budget papers, business plans and feasibility models for development approval.
- Contribute to the preparation and presentation of regular reports to the board and management on business and project performance, property related matters, budget status, half-year and annual reports etc for their information and decision-making.
- Assist the asset management team with any capex requirements related to new lease enquiries, lease renewals and manage good exits.
- Attend Project Control Group meetings for industrial investments.
- Manage feasibility and project budgets for active projects.
Qualifications
- Tertiary degree qualification in real estate, project or development management, commerce, business, finance, or related discipline.
- Five (5) years' experience in construction, development management, project management or real estate.
- Based in Melbourne, with a valid drivers' licence to attend site inspections.
- Proven skills and knowledge in the successful development and delivery of multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proven ability to drive successful planning and project outcomes.
- Strong communication and presentation skills (both written and verbal).
- Professional manner and an ability to engage with all levels of the business and external clients, with presence and ability to nurture relationships.
- Ability to operate in a highly dynamic environment, effectively organise and prioritise tasks to meet priority deadlines.
- Demonstrate analytical, strategic thinking and communication skills, including the ability to interpret, synthesize, develop, and present clear and concise recommendations.
