What's on offer?
We are looking to hire an additional
Safety Advisor
within our Fulton Hogan Construction Business delivering projects as part of our MRPA contract . This is a site based role located in Maidstone, for an initial 12 month fixed term contract with the potential to transition into a permanent role for the right candidate.
In this role you'll be responsible for:
- Implementing, educating and driving awareness of safety procedures, policies, SWMS, and processes
- Conduct audits, site inspections and walkthroughs
- Assist with incident investigation, reports and recommending practical actions to prevent recurrences
- Lead and actively participate in pre-start meetings and toolbox talks
- Liaise and interact with stakeholders, clients, and subcontractors in HSE deliverables
- Assist operational teams in complying with the HSE Management system
- Support risk identification and management processes to improve worker risk awareness of work activities.
How you'll connect to the role:
- Certificate IV Occupational Health & Safety (minimum)
- Prior experience gained within the Civil Construction Industry (ideal) or other high risk work environment (mining/heavy manufacturing etc)
- Valid drivers licence
- A strong passion for delivering safety and educating risk awareness
- Working knowledge of Traffic Management requirements and implementation
- Knowledge of ICAM incident investigation methodology
- Experience conducting safety audits and providing safety training
