Due to rapid growth we are seeking an experienced night shift wharf fleet allocator to join the team

​TNS is a family owned and operated Transport and Logistics company operating as an industry leader throughout Queensland.

Due to continued growth in the business we are seeking an experienced full-timeNight shift Transport allocatorto join our team, based at the Port of Brisbane. Reporting to the Transport Manager, this position plays a crucial role in the successful coordination of the businesses day to day operations.

About the role

Applicants must display a commitment to customer service and possess high communication skills. They must also enjoy working within a team environment.

This role will involve the highest level of attention to detail as you will be coordinating high volumes of import/export container movements to and from the Port of Brisbane.

Required Experience

  • Experience in transport allocating
  • Knowledge of the Port of Brisbane wharves and container parks
  • Understanding of delivery methods
  • Understanding of capacity
  • Ability to manage and understand service requirements
  • Prior experience with managing a fleet of trucks for container deliveries is necessary
  • Experience with container movements, collections from the wharf and delivery to client
  • Experience using OneStop, ContainerChain & Hutchison Ports Portal. Experience using freight tracker is preferred but not a must
  • Excellent customer communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make decisions under pressure
