Role Outline

The Asset Support Officer is responsible for overseeing the lifecycle of physical and digital assets within the organization. This includes tracking, maintenance, compliance, and disposal. The role ensures assets are managed efficiently, securely, and in alignment with strategic and operational goals.  Key responsibilities include:
 

Asset Lifecycle Management

Maintain accurate records of all assets
Coordinate asset deployment, and disposal across regional and national sites.
Ensure compliance with organisational policies during asset handling and disposal.
 

Inventory and Audit

Lead annual asset audits across multiple locations
Schedule and oversee stock-take activities, including physical verification and system updates.
 

Compliance

Ensure sanitization and disposal processes meet security standards
Collaborate to uphold physical and information security protocols.
 

Coordination and Reporting

Liaise with Field Services, Project Managers, and stakeholders to align asset activities with operational needs.
Prepare and maintain disposal templates, sanitization certificates, and audit reports.
 

Strategic Oversight

Support transition planning and integration of asset management into broader service delivery models.
Participate in workshops to streamline asset handovers and automate tracking processes.
 

A relevant degree in IT or a related field, along with industry certifications, will be highly regarded. Join us and contribute to our mission of delivering exceptional technology solutions to our clients.
 

You will be successful in this role if you have:

  • Strong understanding of asset tracking systems
  • Experience in Australian Government or regulated environments preferred.
  • Excellent coordination and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with ICT hardware and software lifecycle.
  • AGSVA clearance required
  • Drivers Licence required (Automatic)
  • Test and Tag experience highly regarded
  • Asset Management experience highly regarded
  • Minimum of 4 years in supporting Deskside support environment
