A progressive local council is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Asset Officer to support the management of road, transport, and stormwater infrastructure. Your new role
As the Asset Officer, you'll be responsible for maintaining and improving asset data systems, conducting condition assessments, and supporting infrastructure planning. You'll collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure accurate asset registers and mapping tools are in place to guide service delivery and strategic decision-making.
You'll also contribute to risk management, emergency response planning, and the promotion of sustainable infrastructure practices.
What you'll need to succeed
- Certificate-level qualifications in engineering, asset management, or a related field
- Experience in asset data collection, classification, and condition assessment
- Understanding of infrastructure lifecycles and maintenance strategies
- Familiarity with NAMS and IIMM frameworks
- Strong digital literacy, including mobile devices and asset management platforms
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
Current NSW Class C Driving Licence
