Our client, a major government organisation, is undertaking a large-scale ERP transformation program, migrating from SAP ECC6 to S/4HANA (H4S4) in a protected cloud environment. This is a rare opportunity to join a strategic initiative at its foundation stage, modernising core HR and Payroll systems to improve automation, reporting, and employee experience.

We are seeking an experienced SAP HR/Payroll Functional Consultant to lead the HR stream, working closely with both internal stakeholders and the implementation partner to ensure alignment with business needs and long-term goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the conversion of SAP HR/Payroll from ECC6 to H4S4
  • Configure and optimise SAP HR modules including HR-PY, HR-PA, HR-OM, and ESS
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and support key HR processes
  • Ensure seamless integration with other enterprise platforms
  • Drive documentation, compliance, and reporting improvements
  • Act as the primary liaison between business and vendor, managing scope and expectation

About You

  • Proven experience in SAP HR/Payroll implementations and ESS
  • Strong understanding of HR processes, data structures, and integration points
  • Experience with ECC and H4S4 conversion projects
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment
  • SAP HR certification (preferred)
  • Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident, or NZ Passport holder
