Job details
ICT Master Schedulers play a key role in supporting the successful delivery of complex ICT projects such as:
- Develop and maintain a consolidated branch master schedule
- Work with project managers, technical leads and PMO teams to align timelines, milestones and resources allocations
- Conduct regular schedule reviews and status updates with stakeholders
- Identify and monitor interdependence and risks across multiple projects, provide forward planning insights for governance and executive decision making.
Key duties and responsibilities
The Specified Personnel will be responsible for providing the following deliverables including but not limited to:
- Developing a branch level project by creating and maintaining a consolidated, deconflicted master schedule that covers all approved and pipeline projects by financial year;
- Scheduling key millstones, interdependencies, delivery phases, and high-level timeframes;
- Integrating resource availability and incorporating workforce data availability by developing team's skillsets, project through BAU allocation, and capacity constraints, to ensure the schedule is realistic and achievable;
- Supporting project sequencing and prioritizing key tasks by identifying milestones that directly affect project delivery timeframes;
- Analysing high risk project overlaps and recommending schedules adjustments to avoid delays and improve efficiency;
- Identifying interdependencies and schedule risks by mapping and monitoring cross-project dependencies, highlighting the risks and schedule conflicts;
- Maintaining dashboard reporting and outputs such as Gantt charts, milestone views, heat maps, tailored for use in executive briefings and project boards.
Specified Personnel will be expected to transfer skills and knowledge to departmental staff and ensure appropriate documentation is stored in accordance with the Department's recordkeeping policy and practices.
The Specified Personnel will also be responsible for producing the following deliverables, including but not limited to:
- Develop a master Scheduler Toolkit and Templates;
- Maintain and update schedule;
- Deliver schedule walkthroughs to project managers and team leads,
- Interpret schedule reports;
- Provide accurate and timely data.
All deliverables performed by the specified personnel must:
- be performed or delivered promptly and without delay in accordance with the timeframes notified by the buyer from time to time; and
- meet the assessment and performance criteria set out in any monitoring and performance assessment processes notified to the seller from time to time.
Technical skills
ICT project Master Scheduling, proficiency in Microsoft Project, Power BI, SharePoint, data analysis, ICT workforce planning.
Essential criteria
1. Minimum of 2 years' experience in ICT infrastructure project environments with demonstrated understanding of typical delivery timeframes, resource constraints, and interdependencies.
2. Demonstrated experience developing and maintaining integrated program level schedules for complex ICT programs, including milestone planning, sequencing, deconfliction, and schedule risk identification
3. Proven ability to incorporate workforce availability and capacity data into scheduling, including aligning resource constraints (e.g. project VS BAU allocations, skillsets) to project timelines.
4. Strong stakeholder engagement and collaboration skillset with a demonstrated ability to work with project managers, workforce planners, ICT technical teams, and governance bodies to collect, validate, and maintain accurate data.
Desirable criteria
1. Proven experience delivering the types of outputs outlined in the summary of work to be done including Development of branch level project master schedule and Project sequencing and Prioritization.
2. Proven experience delivering schedules in an ICT Infrastructure environment including development of branch level project master schedule and Project sequencing and Prioritization.
3. Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with project managers, technical teams, and executive.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Contract length: 36 months
Pay: $145.00 – $155.00 per year
