Where you'll be working

Western Sydney Local Health District (WSLHD) is responsible for providing primary and secondary health care for people living in the Auburn, Blacktown, and The Hills Shire, Holroyd and Parramatta Local Government Areas (LGAs) and tertiary care to residents of the Greater Western Region. What you'll be doing

  • Responsible for the provision of the high quality physiotherapy services to patients of WSLHD.
  • Responsible for contributing to the planning, implementation, evaluation improvement & reporting of the physiotherapy service.

Our team at Westmead has a great work culture and provides a supportive learning environment. This a permanent part time physiotherapy level 1-2 position working in the acute clinical area of Geriatric Medicine including the Emergency Department. The work days are Friday & Saturday, 8am -4.30pm.

Essential Criteria:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Physiotherapy
  • Current General Physiotherapy Registration under AHPRA.

Selection Criteria:

  1. Degree in Physiotherapy or equivalent, current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Registration Agency (AHPRA) and current unrestricted NSW Drivers licence.
  2. Demonstrated ability to analyse problems, set priorities and apply a range of options to develop solutions skills, including the ability to adapt communication style to suit different audiences.
  3. Demonstrated computer literacy, high level verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to adapt communication style to suit different audiences
  4. Ability to provide high quality physiotherapy services across a broad range of clinical areas.
  5. Effective time management and organisational skills.
  6. Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
  7. Demonstrated commitment to professional development and knowledge of Quality Improvement & Evidenced Based Practice.
