Role

Community Physiotherapist – Flexile Physiotherapy | Sydney, NSW

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Contract Physiotherapist to join our growing team. This flexible role offers the opportunity to work in the community, providing physiotherapy services to NDIS participants and private clients.

You will be responsible for delivering evidence-based, goal-directed therapy in participants' homes, hydrotherapy pools, gyms, and community settings. You'll also collaborate closely with Occupational Therapists, Speech Pathologists, Support Coordinators, and families to maximise participant outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver community-based physiotherapy services, including mobility, strength, endurance, pain, and posture management.
  • Complete functional capacity assessments and provide detailed reports in line with NDIS requirements.
  • Prescribe and trial Assistive Technology (AT) including walkers, wheelchairs, hoists, and standing frames.
  • Provide respiratory physiotherapy (airway clearance, secretion management, breathing retraining) where clinically required.
  • Develop and progress individualised exercise programs (home, hydrotherapy, and gym-based).
  • Work collaboratively with OTs, SPs, and other allied health professionals to deliver holistic care.
  • Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation and communicate effectively with clients, families, and support networks.
About You
  • Tertiary qualification in Physiotherapy (Bachelor/Masters).
  • Current AHPRA registration (Physiotherapy Board of Australia).
  • Minimum 2 years' post-graduate experience (community, NDIS, or rehab preferred).
  • Strong clinical reasoning, assessment, and report-writing skills.
  • Current Australian Driver's Licence and reliable vehicle.
  • Professional indemnity and public liability insurance.
  • ABN for contractor engagement.

Desirable but not essential:

  • Experience working with NDIS participants.
  • Skills in respiratory physiotherapy and assistive technology prescription.
  • Ability to speak Arabic or other community languages.
