Project Managers

  • 12-month contract with 2 x 12 month extension options
  • ACT-based, NV1 clearance
  • Intelligence agency experience

Job details

Our federal government client has multiple requirements for Project Managers to manage the delivery of inflight initiatives across all areas of the agency; particularly in the Intelligence Operations, Intelligence and Information Systems, National Police Checking Service, Corporate and Enabling Services.

Key duties and responsibilities

The successful candidates are expected to have:

  • A minimum of 5 years Project Management experience in the management and delivery of complex business and/or technical projects.
  • Experience in mapping dependencies across projects and programs, as well as scheduling initiatives within a program of work.
  • Ability to use, adapt, and work across various delivery methodologies.
  • Experience working with and influencing internal and external stakeholders and partners to plan and successfully deliver programs and projects within scope, schedule, and budget constraints.
  • Experience in building and promoting program vision and developing a collaborative team culture and approach to delivery of program objectives and benefits.
  • Experience in developing and presenting Board papers and briefing materials for SES audiences.
  • Demonstrated experience with program governance, including planning, financials, reporting, risks and issues, benefits, dependency management, etc.
  • Experience with Federal Government procurement processes to successfully engage and manage 3rd party vendors.
  • High level interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships and liaise effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to present and communicate information and expectations to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Personal resilience and flexibility to deal with ambiguity and conflicting priorities to successfully deliver under pressure within a challenging environment.
  • Experience working in a small to medium sized Federal Government Agency
  • Experience working on projects within the Law Enforcement or Intelligence space is beneficial.

Good to have

  • Experience working within a small to medium-sized Federal Government agency.
  • Project management qualifications and certification are highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of Essential Eight, ISM, and Security Maturity requirements will be highly regarded.
