Optical Dispenser (Full-Time) - On Point Optical, Glebe

On Point Optical is opening soon in the vibrant heart of Glebe. We're passionate about delivering exceptional eyecare and eyewear, and we're looking for a skilled Optical Dispenser to join our team.

About the Role

  • Full-time position: Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm
  • Salary: $65,000–$75,000 (commensurate with experience)
  • Work alongside an energetic, highly experienced optometrist who genuinely cares for both patients and team.

What You'll Do

  • Dispense lenses and fit eyewear with accuracy and care.
  • Guide patients in selecting frames and lens options suited to their prescription and lifestyle.
  • Share your optical knowledge while keeping the patient experience warm, welcoming, and personalised.
  • Contribute to a progressive, sustainable, and patient focused practice.

What We're Looking For

  • Strong knowledge of optics theory and dispensing skills.
  • Prior experience in the optical industry is highly regarded.
  • Certificate IV in Optical Dispensing is an advantage but not essential.
  • A "never stop learning" mindset - open, curious, and growth-oriented.
  • Patient-centric, efficient, and collaborative with a professional but approachable style.
  • Language skills in Mandarin, Cantonese, or Korean would be highly valuable.
