Optometrist (Dual Role – Consulting + Dispensing) – On Point Optical, Glebe

On Point Optical is a boutique independent practice opening soon in Glebe. We're all about slowing down, giving patients our full attention, and creating an inclusive, sustainable space for eyecare. We're now looking for an enthusiastic Optometrist who is excited by a dual role that combines consulting and dispensing.

About the Role

  • Full-time position - must be available Saturdays (one weekday off each week).
  • Market salary offered for a graduate optometrist.
  • Ideal for a recent graduate or early career optometrist seeking exposure to both clinical consulting and retail.
  • Work in a slower-paced practice where KPIs are soft, but patient care and individual service are front and centre.

What You'll Do

  • Deliver comprehensive, patient-focused eye exams.
  • Support patients with lens and frame selections, ensuring prescriptions are brought to life through the right eyewear solutions.
  • Build genuine connections with patients - bringing stories, personality, and care into every interaction.
  • Be part of the growth of a new practice, helping shape its reputation and culture from day one.

What We're Looking For

  • Optometry degree and current AHPRA registration (or eligibility to practice in Australia).
  • Retail or customer-facing experience - you're confident engaging with people beyond the consulting room.
  • Adaptable and personable, with excellent communication skills.
  • Respectful of social values and aligned with eco-friendly, sustainable goals in the optical industry.
  • A collaborative team player who values learning and growth.
