Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Growth Responsibilities

  • Actively promote Kangaroo Care's services to NDIS participants, families, support coordinators, and allied health professionals
  • Develop and maintain referral pathways with support providers, SIL/STA providers, allied health professionals, and community organisations
  • Represent Kangaroo Care at networking events, expos, community forums, and industry meetings
  • Identify opportunities for service expansion, new partnerships, and increased participant engagement
  • Support intake and onboarding of new participants through referrals and enquiries
  • Contribute ideas and insights to improve service delivery, participant experience, and organisational growth
  • Maintain a professional brand presence aligned with Kangaroo Care's values and reputation

Support Coordination

  • Assist NDIS participants to understand their NDIS plans, budgets, and funded supports
  • Develop and implement participant-centred support coordination plans aligned with individual goals
  • Identify, source, and connect participants with suitable service providers and community supports
  • Build and maintain strong professional relationships with participants, families, carers, and stakeholders
  • Monitor service delivery to ensure supports are delivered as planned and outcomes are achieved
  • Support participants during NDIS plan reviews, reassessments, and changes in circumstances
  • Maintain accurate, timely case notes and documentation in line with NDIS Quality & Safeguards Commission requirements

Skills & Experience

Essential

  • Experience in Business Development / Support Coordination or disability services within the NDIS framework
  • Strong understanding of NDIS plans, funding categories, and service systems
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to manage multiple participants and priorities effectively
  • Strong documentation, reporting, and organisational skills
  • Confidence engaging with external stakeholders and referral partners
