Damn Good Beauty own six of Australia's most innovative beauty brands. While our brands have been around for a bit, DAMN GOOD was launched in 2020 as the umbrella company to house (and love) these brands. We are the guardians to Urban Jungle, APPELLES, Biology Smart Skincare, Ink & Water, urban skincare co and SOAK.

WHAT A DAMN GOOD DAY LOOKS LIKE IN THIS ROLE

Our Part-Time, Social Media & Content Specialist will be responsible for the daily management across social channels and content creation for our Damn Good Beauty brands.

The primary focus of this role, working on-site Monday, Wednesday and Thursday in our Marrickville office, will be crafting engaging and shareable content that aligns with the individual brand voices and target audiences. You'll be the driving force behind our social presence, from ideation to implementation, you'll curate captivating stories, manage campaigns, analyse performance metrics, and stay abreast of industry trends to ensure our brand maintains a dynamic and impactful online presence.

The ideal candidate possesses a passion for storytelling, a keen eye for design, and a deep understanding of social media trends and algorithms. This person will be obsessed with all things beauty and skincare, loves taking #shelfies and knows all the latest TikTok trends.

RESPONSIBILITES

SOCIAL MEDIA CHANNEL MANAGEMENT

• Manage the day-to-day content schedule across all our social channels.
• This will include planning & copywriting to scheduling content.
• Manage our social communities - replying to messages, responding to comments, and regularly engaging with our customers.
• Maintaining tone of voice for each brand and ensuring consistency across all platforms.
• Monitoring performance of social media channels and providing actionable insights.
• Keeping an eye on content and activity of competitors and staying up to date on industry trends.

CONTENT CREATION AND CURATION

• Constantly ideating and creating engaging visual and written content for Damn Good Beauty brands.
• Shooting still and video content from flat lays & product shots to TikTok videos.
• Bonus Being confident in front of the camera.
• Developing and maintaining the content library for our brands, from image sourcing to clipping UGC, PR and influencer content.

INFLUENCER MANAGEMENT

• Maintaining communication with PR agency ensuring influencers are on brand.
• Managing a portfolio of influencers and collaborators in-house. Arranging packs, send outs, DM-ing them for details and building relationships
• Managing social-led collaborations to delight our audiences, encourage engagement and grow following.

SO WHAT ABOUT YOU?

• 2 years experience in a similar role within beauty, fashion or lifestyle is desired
• Relevant tertiary studies across Digital, Marketing, PR/Communications or similar is essential
• An obsession with beauty and skincare (but surely, that's a given)
• Experience in social media management and platforms including: Instagram, Facebook Pinterest, TikTok, YouTube and LinkedIn.
• Excellent copywriting skills with high level of attention to detail
• The ability to work across multiple brands simultaneously and have a strong understanding of different brand stories, influencers and social trends
• Competent in photography and content creation
• Experience taking and editing social content
• Can do, positive attitude with a proactive mindset.
