About the role

**Job Description**:
Radio Skid Row is seeking a part-time Station Manager to lead the station’s operations, fundraising efforts, and strategic growth. This role involves overseeing daily operations, financial management, staff and volunteers, grant coordination, and technical oversight, while working closely with the Board and community stakeholders.

We are looking for a strategic, community-driven leader who is passionate about social justice and grassroots media. This role is challenging but rewarding, requiring a combination of strong leadership, organisational, and fundraising skills.

Key Responsibilities:

- Oversee day-to-day station operations, ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and legal requirements.
- Manage fundraising activities, coordinating staff and volunteers to achieve financial goals.
- Supervise staff, volunteers, and contractors, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.
- Work with the Treasurer and accountant to prepare budgets and oversee finances.
- Provide technical oversight, working with contractors and advising the Board on equipment needs.
- Collaborate with the Board and committees to support governance, policy development, and strategic planning.

Selection Criteria
- Proven leadership experience in community media, non-profit management, or a similar field.
- Experience in fundraising, grant writing, and financial management.
- Strong organisational and communication skills, with experience working with volunteers and diverse communities.
- Ability to manage operations and develop strategic policies for a dynamic media organisation.
- Understanding of technical broadcast requirements and ability to work with technical teams.
- Commitment to social justice and the values of community broadcasting.

Position Details
- Hours: 30 hours per week
- Pay: $46.15 per hour + 11% superannuation
