About the role

We are seeking an experienced Project Draftsman to join our team at Wild Industries in Morningside, Queensland. As a full-time role, you will be responsible for providing technical drafting support for our engineering projects, playing a crucial part in the successful delivery of our clients' requirements.

What you'll be doing

  • Assisting in the creation of accurate 2D and 3D manufacturing drawings and technical documentation
  • Preparing detailed part and assembly drawings for fabrication and machining
  • Updating and revising existing drawings based on production feedback or design changes
  • Collaborating with the engineering and production teams to ensure designs are practical and manufacturable
  • Learning and applying industry standards, tolerances, and materials specifications
  • Helping maintain drawing databases and document control systems

What we're looking for

  • Preference of Certificate IV in Engineering Drafting or equivalent – a trade qualification would be beneficial but not required
  • Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials (sheet metal, machining, fabrication, etc.)
  • Experience with AutoCAD, Bricsys software or similar required
  • Attention to detail and an eagerness to learn
  • Australian work authorisation required for this position
  • Experience with any CAD software including AutoCAD, Bricsys, SolidWorks, or similar applications
