About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Draftsman to join our detailing team on a full-time basis. This position is integral to delivering high-quality, accurate drawings and models for steel fabrication projects. The successful candidate will bring both technical expertise and practical knowledge of shed and carport construction, ensuring our projects are completed to the highest standard.

Key Responsibilities

  • Interpret construction drawings and specifications to produce precise shop drawings for steel fabrication
  • Develop accurate 2D drawings and 3D models based on engineering requirements
  • Provide technical input to support project quoting and estimating
  • Manage drawing revisions and document control within established systems
  • Collaborate with the engineering and detailing team to resolve complex design challenges
  • Apply industry knowledge of shed and carport components to deliver practical, cost-effective solutions

Skills and Experience

  • Current residency in Australia with unrestricted working rights
  • Demonstrated experience in drafting using CAD software
  • Relevant engineering or technical qualifications
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to meet deadlines under pressure
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Proven experience in shed and carport design and fabrication
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a professional team environment
