What you'll be doing

The Senior Data Specialist, Data Quality, Remediation and Management will work with key stakeholders in the Screening and Prevention division, as well as with service management and key Institute Data Warehouse staff to develop and maintain Information System initiatives. This role requires skills in data engineering, data remediation, data modelling, and data analytics, and expertise with Microsoft's suite of data management tools, supporting the achievement of Cancer Plan objectives.

Essential requirements

  • Tertiary qualifications in health information management, business, computer science, information technology or related discipline, or demonstrated, equivalent relevant professional experience and training in data management.
  • Expert developer with SQL Server and Microsoft SSIS experience in database development and administration.
  • Demonstrated understanding of data management and governance principles and methods as they relate to health records.
  • Experience with undertaking statistical data analysis and reporting on large datasets for the purpose of performance monitoring and improvement.
