The Role
We are seeking a Relationship Manager (Salesperson) to join our timber yard team in Padstow. This role goes beyond transactions – it's about building strong, long-term partnerships with our customers. Trust is the most important aspect of this role. You'll be the face of Onsite Timber, ensuring every client feels valued, supported, and confident in choosing us as their go-to timber supplier.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with builders, carpenters, and trade clients.
- Understand customer needs and provide tailored solutions that build loyalty and repeat business.
- Proactively follow up with clients to ensure satisfaction and resolve issues quickly and professionally.
- Collaborate with the yard and logistics teams to ensure smooth, reliable delivery of materials.
- Identify opportunities to grow sales through excellent service and relationship management.
- Foresee potential errors or mistakes in orders, delivery, or communication, and resolve them before they affect customers.
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.
- Represent Onsite Timber with integrity and a customer-first approach at all times.
About You
- Timber and building sales experience is essential.
- A natural relationship-builder who thrives on trust, rapport, and reliability.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to identify issues before they happen and take proactive steps to prevent them.
- Fast on the keyboard and PC, with strong computer literacy for managing orders and client records.
- A hands-on, practical approach with a genuine interest in helping clients succeed.
- Self-motivated, with a proactive attitude toward service and sales.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same.
