For an established and well-regarded company in the Eastern Suburbs we are seeking a skilled and detail-focused Accounts Receivable Officer to join their finance team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with numbers, is communicative and is motivated by accuracy and process improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate and issue accurate invoices to clients in a timely manner, in line with contractual agreements
  • Monitor accounts for overdue payments and proactively follow up with clients to ensure prompt resolution
  • Accurately process and record receipting transactions and journals across multiple systems
  • Manage refunds via EFT, credit cards, and various payment gateways
  • Reconcile daily payment reports to bank accounts
  • Provide timely and effective support to internal teams and stakeholders
  • Perform monthly bank and general ledger reconciliations
  • Assist with ad-hoc reporting and financial tasks as required
  • Maintain clear, organised, and accurate financial documentation

Your experience:

  • Experience in accounts receivable or credit collection
  • Intermediate or higher proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Strong time management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team

Your skillset:

  • Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Experience in Oracle is a plus, large ERP systems are preferred
  • Familiarity with industry-specific financial systems
