What position do we have available?

As the Product Specialist – Filler Metals, you'll be the subject matter expert across the entire product lifecycle – from identifying emerging opportunities and understanding customer needs to supporting the successful commercialisation of new and improved filler metal solutions.

Working closely with our sales, technical, and marketing teams, you'll transform field insights into actionable strategies that enhance our product range, strengthen our market position, and deliver real value to our customers.

In this role, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Act as the subject matter expert (SME) for filler metals across the business.
  • Support the full product lifecycle, from concept and development through to launch and post-market performance.
  • Capture and validate market and customer insights to guide product and portfolio decisions.
  • Collaborate with product development and sales teams to bring innovative products to market.
  • Develop and maintain product roadmaps aligned with corporate objectives and revenue goals.
  • Provide technical support, training, and product knowledge to internal teams, distributors, and customers.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and industry developments to identify opportunities for growth.

If you have the following skills and experience then this may just be the perfect position for you:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering, Metallurgy or Science, or related trade qualifications.
  • Strong welding process knowledge (SMAW, GMAW, GTAW, FCAW) and applications.
  • Experience in welding or metal fabrication, ideally with filler metals or related consumables.
  • Proven ability to manage projects and work cross-functionally with R&D, marketing, and sales teams.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • A proactive approach and passion for continuous improvement.
