We are a long standing member of PlumbingPlus, proudly independent and family owned, and successfully operating in a highly competitive and challenging market. As we continue to grow and strengthen our Sydney-based operations, we are seeking a highly motivated and organised individual to fill the role of Internal Sales Support, a newly created, full-time position based at Prestons. The role will be central to our sales function, and act as a vital link between our customers, sales team, supply partners, and internal departments.

The Role:

  • Within the Sales team you will be the first point of contact for inbound contact from trade and retail customers, and supply partners (calls, emails, showroom walk-in), providing a positive, professional, friendly, knowledgeable first contact, service and support.
  • You will monitor and manage incoming contact; assisting and distributing enquiries, and working with the Sales team to ensure we are following up on contact, requests for information, quotes and orders, in a timely manner.
  • You will support the Sales team by assisting with processing of sales orders, quotes, purchase orders, managing backorders, product returns, and credit claims.
  • Across the primary areas of our business in Front of Wall, Back of Wall, and Pools you will assist with customer accounts, pricing queries, delivery updates, and ensure record are updated.
  • You will work with Sales Reps and internal departments to track order fulfilment, stock availability, and supplier pricing changes.
  • As a key member of the Sales team, you will participate in sales meetings, branch meetings, and product training sessions with supply partners.

Who we are looking for:

  • A confident self-starter, who is also a well-presented team player, with a solid work record, relevant industry background, solid product knowledge and experience in a similar role or an ability and willingness to learn quickly.
  • Strong communication skills and a calm, professional manner when dealing with customers and team members. Excellent multitasking, time management, and attention to detail in a fast-paced setting.
  • A confident phone manner and a proactive approach to communication, you will be self-motivated, well organised, and have outstanding time management skills, allied with a good level of confident computer literacy – Microsoft Office, and familiarity with Frameworks would be a significant advantage.
  • You be trustworthy, reliable and with a positive 'Can Do' attitude, and adept at developing and maintaining strong relationships with supply partners, customers and colleagues alike.
