This role bridges technical assessment, policy knowledge, and team leadership — supporting a group of Research Analysts and ensuring our loan recommendations meet lender policy, servicing, and structure requirements.

This is a hands-on role for a high-performing credit professional who thrives on complex scenarios, loves guiding others, and can assess all residential loan types — from PAYG to self-employed, trust, company, and bridging structures.

Collaboration & Guidance

  • Act as the primary technical support contact for Research Analysts handling complex or unusual scenarios.
  • Liaise with brokers, accountants, and other third parties where necessary to clarify income or structure details.
  • Maintain open communication with Relationship Managers to ensure files move quickly and accurately to submission.

Quality Assurance & Process Improvement

  • Review team output for consistency with Peasy's policy matrix, templates, and documentation standards.
  • Provide coaching feedback on file quality and policy interpretation.
  • Recommend process improvements and system enhancements (Quickli, Accurateli, Process Street, etc.).

Credit Policy & Knowledge Management

  • Stay up to date with lender policy and credit appetite changes, briefing the team regularly.
  • Contribute to Peasy's internal credit knowledge base and scenario tracker.
  • Work closely with leadership to refine assessment templates and checklists.

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in credit assessment, loan processing, or mortgage analysis.
  • Strong understanding of residential lending structures, including self-employed, trusts, companies, and bridging loans.
  • Prior exposure to multiple lenders or aggregator environments preferred.

Skills

  • Deep knowledge of policy interpretation and serviceability assessment.
  • Advanced Excel and analytical capabilities.
