Council of the City of Sydney, Australia MyState Limited Full time

Join Our Team as a Credit Manager at SELFCO

Are you ready to take the lead in credit decisioning and relationship management? We’re looking for a Credit Manager to join our dynamic team at SELFCO — part of the united financial services group comprising MyState Bank, Auswide Bank, SELFCO, and TPT Wealth. Together, we’re committed to delivering exceptional banking experiences and helping Australians achieve more.

As a Credit Manager, you’ll be responsible for assessing and decisioning new business finance applications sourced via our network of accredited Introducers. Reporting directly to the Head of Operations, you’ll play a pivotal role in maintaining credit quality, managing relationships, and supporting business growth.

This is a high-impact role with frequent interaction across internal teams and external stakeholders. Your ability to communicate complex credit decisions clearly and constructively will be key to your success.

What you’ll bring to the table

- Relationship Management – Confidently engage with Brokers, BDMs, and Introducers to ensure credit decisions are clearly articulated and understood.

- Credit Expertise – Demonstrate deep knowledge of equipment and vehicle finance, balancing risk with opportunity to support business growth.

- Leadership & Collaboration – Work closely with the Head of Operations and team members to foster a high-performance culture and ensure credit quality targets are met.

- Operational Excellence – Maintain accurate records, liaise with funders, and support loan processing and settlement activities.

Here’s what we’re looking for:

Experience:

- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in equipment finance, ideally as a Senior Credit Analyst or Credit Manager.

- Proven track record of working with a Delegated Lending Authority (DLA) of at least $300k.

- Strong understanding of the third-party broker market and its unique risks and processes.

Skills:

- Advanced credit assessment and underwriting skills.

- Excellent verbal and written communication, with the ability to explain complex finance concepts to brokers and clients.

- Ability to manage multiple transactions while maintaining a client-focused approach.

- Collaborative mindset with a commitment to respectful and effective teamwork.

Qualifications:

- Tertiary qualification in Business or Finance preferred.

Ready to take the next step?

Apply by midnight Sunday 9 November 2025. We review applications as they come in, so don’t wait. If you have questions, get in touch with us at talent@mystate.com.au.

Employment with MyState is subject to background checks including Bankruptcy, Police, and Credit checks to verify your suitability to work in the finance sector. We are an equal opportunity employer, committed to creating an inclusive work environment where everyone is valued.
