Copy & Content Manager

The Copy and Content Manager is responsible for the creation, editing, and management of all written and content assets across Viking ANZ. This role is custodian of Viking's copy standards, ensuring consistency of brand voice across every channel, from long form assets to digital and social campaigns.
This fast-paced role is responsible for maintaining the copy library and style guide, proofreading and editing outputs, and providing guidance on tone and messaging. It partners closely with cross channel teams to ensure content drives engagement, supports conversion, and reflects Viking's premium positioning.
This role reports into the Senior Manager, Communications and collaborates with Viking's global communications teams.
Key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Work in partnership with Senior Manager, Communications on the development and execution of a multi-channel content strategy that maximises all new and existing global creative assets, local media coverage and positive guest/media/travel advisor testimonials
- Work closely with the marketing team to implement the content strategy through owned and earned channels
- Utilise data to analyse performance of all content and help formulate most appropriate strategy for each channel
- Own the creation of quarterly Viking Explorer Society magazine and regular destination guides, collaborating with relevant team members, including content planning, copywriting and working with external contributors
- Draft all marketing campaign theming, key messaging hierarchy and supporting copy across all marketing channels.
- Draft all long form consumer copy such as product brochures and landing pages.
- Draft or proof all short from copy, such as organic social posts to email
- Develop a style guide for trade marketing copy and ensure this is executed across all communications.
- Provide copywriting, proofreading and editing support across all marketing channels where required.
- Maintain the copy library for brand messaging and product copy, ensuring all copy is accurately tagged and easy to find to ensure usage by wider marketing team.
- Maintain copy guidelines for wider marketing support usage through all channels.
- Establish and maintain productive working relationships with copywriters within the global offices to ensure the timely sharing of content and creative assets.
- Review all global marketing material and incorporate relevant messaging into local marketing efforts where relevant.
- Continually develop the copywriting skills of the wider marketing team through regular feedback and internal training.
- Act as brand custodian to ensure brand language and creative guidelines are always adhered to.
- Represent the Viking brand at industry events and expos.
About You
- Experience: 5–8 years in professional writing, copy, or content roles, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead capacity. Background in travel, lifestyle, publishing, or brand marketing preferred.
- Expertise: Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling ability with proven experience adapting voice and tone across multiple channels.
- Brand Voice: Ability to balance creative flair with commercial impact, ensuring content engages while supporting marketing objectives.
- Content Management: Experience maintaining content libraries, style guides, and working within structured content systems.
- Collaboration: Skilled at working with design, digital, and campaign teams to deliver integrated outputs.
- Technology & Tools: Competent using Copilot or equivalent AI tools to draft, edit, and refine copy efficiently, with strong judgement on when and how to apply them. Comfortable working with content management, analytics, and workflow platforms such as
