The Opportunity Reporting to the Director, you will plan, organise, direct, control and coordinate Alpha Trophies' sales and marketing activities across Australia. You will own the go-to-market strategy, drive revenue and brand growth, lead a high-performing team, and build scalable processes to support our national expansion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategy and Planning

  • Develop integrated sales and marketing strategies and annual plans aligned to growth targets and the 2026 capital-city expansion roadmap.

  • Translate market and customer insights into clear commercial plays across corporate, government, education, and sporting segments.
  • Sales Leadership

  • Set targets, build pipelines, lead account planning, and drive tender/bid responses; implement incentive frameworks to achieve revenue, margin, and market share goals.

  • Grow strategic accounts and partnerships (corporate procurement, sporting associations, schools/universities) and develop channel/partner programs.
  • Marketing Leadership

  • Build and execute brand, digital, and demand-generation programs across SEO/SEM, paid social, email lifecycle, content, events, and sponsorships.

  • Oversee merchandising and conversion optimisation for ecommerce (product mix, pricing, promotions, reviews/UGC).
  • Market and Customer Insights

  • Commission and conduct research on seasonal demand (e.g., academic and sports calendars), competitor activity, product trends, and pricing dynamics.

  • Maintain voice-of-customer programs to improve repeat purchase and account retention.
  • Product, Pricing and Positioning

  • Partner with operations and finance on pricing models for custom and bulk orders; refine value propositions by segment and use case.

  • Budgeting and ROI

  • Own budgets, forecast spend, and reallocate based on performance; improve CAC/LTV, AOV, and conversion rates.

  • CRM, Funnel and Analytics

  • Oversee CRM data quality, forecasting accuracy, and pipeline velocity; build dashboards for campaign attribution and sales performance.

  • Team and Vendor Management

  • Hire, coach, and performance-manage sales and marketing talent; manage agencies, media, and key vendors.

  • Governance and Reporting

  • Report monthly/quarterly on revenue, pipeline, campaign ROI, market insights, and expansion progress; ensure brand and regulatory compliance.

About You

  • Tertiary qualifications in Marketing, Business, Commerce or related discipline; postgraduate/MBA advantageous.
  • 7+ years' progressive experience in sales and marketing leadership, ideally in awards, print/promo, customised manufacturing, or ecommerce-led B2B/B2C environments.
  • Proven record of delivering revenue and market share growth, with strengths in enterprise/corporate accounts, government/education procurement, and partnerships.
  • Deep capability in modern digital marketing (SEO/SEM, paid social, marketing automation, content, email lifecycle) and ecommerce conversion.
  • Commercial acumen across pricing, margin management, forecasting, and board-level reporting.
  • Data-driven leadership: adept with CRM, attribution, dashboards, and translating insights into action.
  • Strong stakeholder influence, tender/bid experience, and vendor/agency management.
  • Excellent people leadership with a track record of building high-performing teams.
  • Understanding of the Australian market and seasonal demand cycles.
  • Full Australian working rights. Employer sponsorship may be considered for exceptional candidates.
