About the team

Our manufacturing team are an essential part of turning raw materials into products ready for customers. We have a strong focus on team member safety, quality and continuous improvement whilst ensuring that customers' security of supply, quality, availability of product and value for money expectations are met. You'll work alongside a diverse group of individuals with different backgrounds, cultures, personalities, and beliefs, much like the communities we serve.

About the Role

As Production Manager, you'll lead and coordinate high-volume meat processing operations. You'll be responsible for planning, resourcing, and scheduling production to ensure goods are produced efficiently, at the right cost, and to the highest quality standards. This role champions safety, health, and wellbeing while driving continuous improvement initiatives across the facility.

You will also: 

  • Oversee daily production operations to meet KPIs for yield, OEE, DIFOT, and quality.
  • Champion zero-harm safety culture and compliance with WHS requirements.
  • Manage labour planning, rosters, and cost control.
  • Drive continuous improvement and lean initiatives.
  • Coach and develop team members to build capability and engagement.

About You and Your Skill

We're looking for someone who brings:

  • Minimum 5 years in a production leadership role within a fast-paced manufacturing environment, ideally in food manufacturing and chilled processing.
  • Strong understanding of automated processing and high-speed packaging machinery, lean principles, and HACCP/food safety standards.
  • Proven ability to lead and engage teams, drive safety culture, and deliver operational excellence.
  • Degree in Food Technology, Manufacturing Management, Applied Science, or Engineering (desirable).
  • Experience in multi-shift planning and continuous improvement initiatives.
