About the role
We are seeking to appoint a full-time, permanent Director of Sport from 2026. This position is responsible for the development and strategic leadership of Sport across the whole campus (K-12).
This position would suit a person with significant experience in leading and developing sporting programs for students looking to step into a senior leadership role within an organisation that values excellence.
Duties
The Director of Sport is responsible for:
- All facets of the Sport program within the College;
- Overseeing and developing the Fraser Flames sporting association;
- Promotion of an inclusive sporting program for students of all abilities;
- Promotion of sporting excellence and pathways to professional, semi-professional fields and the matriculation of students into study/sport opportunities;
- Developing policies and procedures for the operation of Sport across the College;
- Supervision of staff, sports assistants and volunteers and training of staff within the department;
- Developing positive relationships with parents, surrounding schools and outside sporting associations will be key area of responsibility;
- Duties and responsibilities as included in the Director of Sport Role Statement.
Skills, experience and attributes required
- Suitable qualifications and relevant experience. We will consider those with Education qualifications and/or relevant sporting qualifications and experience;
- Strong understanding of both club sport and school sport structures would be advantageous;
- Demonstration of a high degree of professional sporting integrity;
- Excellent communication, organisation and leadership skills;
- Experience in a range of sports and activities related to this role and to the organisation of sporting events.
