• Base Hourly Rate $55.72 per hour ($110,102 per annum)

PYEC, a proud Anangu led organisation, is calling for a dynamic, respectful and courageous Program Manager to lead its flagship initiative Nganampa Education Tjitji Tjutaku (NETT) Kunpuntjaku.

This is your chance to live and work on Pitjantjatjara and Yankunytjatjara Country, and co create educational pathways with families, schools, and communities across the APY Lands.

About the role

You'll manage the NETT program across Iwantja, Kaltjiti, Kenmore Park, Mimili, Amata, Murputja, Pipalyatjara, and Pukatja, working in close partnership with local communities to:

• Design and drive strategy that delivers genuine, measurable outcomes
• Lead with empathy, cultural humility, and operational strength
• Support and mentor a passionate team including the Assistant Manager and local Anangu staff
• Ensure strong program delivery, budget management, and compliance with NIAA funding requirements
• Champion locally led education initiatives to boost attendance and engagement

Who you are

You're a grounded, proactive leader who's ready to trade Zoom calls for real connections, and standard KPIs for real world change.

You bring:

• Proven experience in education, youth or community programs ideally in remote or cross cultural contexts
• An open heart and a listening ear you're as focused on learning as leading
• The ability to collaborate across cultural lines and build deep, trusted partnerships
• Strategic thinking with hands on delivery skills
• Strength in mentoring teams and managing resources
• A deep respect for Aboriginal culture, community governance, and the power of self determination

What you'll need

• Relevant qualifications OR substantial program leadership experience
• A willingness to live and work on Country in an Anangu community
• SA DHS Working with Children Check & Police Check (or ability to obtain)
• Current C Class Driver's Licence and confidence in 4WD long distance travel

Bonus points for

• Willingness to learn Pitjantjatjara
• First Aid Mental Health First Aid
• Existing relationships or experience in the APY Lands
