About the Role
Ahrens is looking for a self motivated and experienced Operations Manager to oversee the operations of the Olympic Dam BAU division. This role is responsible for increasing and maintaining operational efficiency by implementing best practices including proper systems and processes across the division. The Operations Manager will also manage and mentor team members to ensure a high level of customer service and work performance is consistent across the team. Other key responsibilities include overseeing recruitment to ensure staffing requirements are met, budgeting and forecasting, quality assurance, stakeholder management, as well as providing strategic input and operational support to ensure successful project delivery.
Flexible FIFO rosters and work arrangements will be discussed and agreed with the successful candidate.
Skills and Experience
The preferred candidate must have relevant tertiary qualifications as well as proven experience in a similar role within the mining and/or construction industry. Ahrens is seeking a proactive and passionate leader with excellent interpersonal and communication skills to lead a team at Olympic Dam. This role requires a high level of time management and organisational skills, strong business and financial management experience, particularly in budgeting and forecasting. Candidates with experience in leading the bidding and tendering process are highly desirable for this role.
