Do you have a knack for driving strategic sourcing plans and negotiating high-value contracts? We have a fantastic opportunity for a Manager Strategic Partnership & Sourcing responsible for building and managing the critical supplier and partner relationships that ensure the long-term reliability and cost-effectiveness of our generation fleet.
As the Manager of Strategic Partnerships & Sourcing, you will be the driver of our multi-year sourcing strategy, negotiation and administration of high-value contracts for our Generation fleet. You will be responsible for mitigating supply chain risk, optimising spend, and ensuring our partnerships deliver sustained value, directly impacting operational uptime and financial performance. This is a permanent full-time position based in our Cooma or Sydney office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leading the strategic sourcing plan for critical operational inputs, leading negotiations for multi-year contracts and long-term service agreements to ensure optimal commercial terms, risk allocation, and performance.
- Identifying and cultivating strategic external partnerships, fostering innovation and securing favourable terms to ensure supply chain continuity as Snowy delivers over $3bn of capital works in the coming decade.
- Proactively manage complex supply chain risks such as single points of failure, market volatility and serving as a key liaison to Operations, Maintenance, and Engineering teams, aligning sourcing strategies with long-term demands.
- Collaborating with Finance and Planning for accurate cost forecasts and budget inputs, ensuring all sourcing and contracting activities comply with internal policies and ethical guidelines.
Leading, mentoring, and developing a high-performing team of approximately 20 FTE and 100 contractors focused on supply chain, logistics, and vendor management, while managing the budget for the Production Support function.

This role can be based in Sydney, or Cooma, offering some hybrid working arrangements whilst maintaining strong office presence. We have offices in both locations, providing excellent opportunities for professional growth, networking, and collaboration.

About you:
- A Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven ability to build and maintain effective relationships with both internal stakeholders and external partners.
- Develop a high performing team. Lead, mentor, and inspire an engaged team, creating a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Strategic thinking and understanding of end-to-end supply chain dynamics, particularly in an asset-intensive industry.
- Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills, with a track record of delivering cost efficiencies and value.
