Information & Communications Technician

As the Information and Communication Electronic Technician, technical knowledge will be requested to support the OASIS departments when needed, you will be responsible under minimal supervision to perform periodic maintenance tasks, complete trouble failures and job orders for a range of systems managed by the Information Technology Team.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Conduct preventative maintenance work on all electronic systems

maintained by IT.

1. Perform planning of equipment, tools and materials needed to complete

tasks.

1. Undertake initial fault-finding analysis and implement solutions.

2. Maintain reliable operation of all aspects of the Security system

3. Maintain, repair site electronics e.g. CATV, DVD's and Projectors

4. Install and repair fibre optic networks associated with IT system

infrastructure.

1. Maintain of electronic circuits and schematic diagrams.

2. Perform tasks for project efforts as required.

3. Ensure, promote, and maintain health and safety practices/compliances at

site and within the workplace.

1. Any other reasonable duties as requested

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Essential Desirable

• Year 12 completion
• Formal qualifications in Electronics
• Equivalent demonstrated experience

Field: Relevant or related discipline · ACMA certification – Coaxial · Qualification in Terrestrial Digital Transmission · Certificate III, Certificate IV · Trade Qualification · Undergraduate Degree · Post Graduate Qualification · Equivalent demonstrated experience

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

Minimum Essential

• 1-2 years' experience
• Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with varied stakeholders
• Experience with MS Office operating system

WORK ENVIRONMENT, PHYSICAL DEMANDS, AND MENTAL DEMANDS

• Typical office environment with no unusual hazards, occasional lifting to 10kgs, kneeling, standing and walking, routinely sitting and constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, constant mental alertness, and must be able to work under deadlines.
• The employee is frequently required to walk, sit, use hands to handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand.

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENT

It is a condition of employment that employees obtain and retain the appropriate level of security clearance and medical clearance applicable to each role. The employee will require a Top-Secret Positive Vetting (TSPV) Department of Defence Security Clearance (Australian) or TS/SCI (U.S.) clearance w/ Poly.

STATEMENT OF WORK REQUIREMENTS

All personnel assigned shall be:

• At least 18 years of age.
• Able to fluently read, write and speak English

EHS REQUIREMENT

All Amentum personnel are responsible for understanding and complying with all site environmental, health and safety requirements.
