We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our team.

As a People and Culture Officer you will work closely with the People and Culture Leader to foster a workplace that values and empowers its people. This role is pivotal in implementing strategies that support our organisational goals and enhance our workplace culture.

Your responsibilities as a People & Culture Officer:

  • Coordinate the day-to-day functions of the People & Culture department
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of internal communication materials and platforms
  • Support initiatives related to employee well-being and engagement
  • Coordinate and assist with the implementation of employee activities and social events
  • Assist with the creation and maintenance of training materials and resources, working with other departments to build out training pieces and assist with delivery
  • Assist with the recruitment process, including shortlisting, organising and participating in interviews and drafting offers
  • Support the onboarding process to enhance employee experience
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of HR related policies and procedures
  • Provide guidance and support to employees on P&C policies and procedures
  • Maintain employee records ensuring best practices are met in relation to employee privacy
  • Provide support in matters of industrial relations, performance management, probation reviews and other enquiries
  • Offer support to the P&C Leader in matters of employee relations
  • Manage uniform allocations and maintain stock
  • Liaise with relevant parties and assist in the Company's work experience, apprenticeship and trainee programs
  • Assist in the streamlining and processes related to the Company's HRIS
  • Manage People & Culture records and documentation with accuracy and confidentiality

What You Need:

  • 2+ years' experience in human resources or related field
  • Tertiary education in Human Resources or related field, or relevant industry experience
  • Knowledge of relevant employment legislation and regulations
  • Experience with recruitment and onboarding process
  • Familiarity with HR policies and procedures
  • Previous experience using a Human Resources Information System (preferably Elmo)
  • Strong interpersonal skills and communication skills
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills
  • Experience with Office 365
