We are currently seeking an experienced Production Team Member to support the daily operational needs of a large timber distribution company

Location: Tingalpa, Brisbane

Pay rate: $32-$34 per hour plus super - permanent full time role

Shifts: Monday to Friday, Friday is a short day

Must have: current drivers license, Forklift license, full working rights and available immediately

Primary Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Daily pre-start checks of all equipment before use
  • Read and follow cut-sheet requirement correctly and label packs/ panels with job allocation numbers
  • Sort job numbers into allocated bins and understand rack layout
  • Pack jobs into agreed pack specifications
  • Photograph completed packs before wrapping
  • Wrap, strap, and label packs, including the use of a strap gun to ensure packs are secure
  • Move completed packs from the Production area to the correct staging location
  • Pick full packs as requested
  • Load/unload trucks in line with policies and procedures
  • Where required and appropriately licensed, drive and operate mobile machinery including forklift
  • Work with production team members according to the SOP's
  • Maintain accurate time keeping records for shifts worked
  • At work ready to commence by designated start time
  • Follow absence notification procedures
  • Safe operation of tools and equipment relevant to role
  • Use manual handling skills and lifting techniques
  • Safety improvement suggestions
  • Immediate reporting of near miss or safety incidents in line with safety procedures
  • Actively manage and promote safety and well being performance to minimise risks to our employees and stakeholders

To be successful you will need to demonstrate:

  • Licensed, experienced and competent forklift operator
  • Demonstrated experience and understanding of timber production operations
  • Knowledge of timber products at Dindas, its use and value
  • Ability to follow instructions, standards and procedures and work well as part of a team
  • Solid understanding of OHS requirements
  • Sound communication, numeracy, and literacy skills
  • Sound problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • High level of consideration for safety of people, equipment and products
  • Strong work ethic and high level of care in all activities carried out
  • Reliable and consistent performer
  • Flexible, open to change and possess the ability to work well under pressure
