We are seeking an Assistant Operations Manager to support the operational and facilities management requirements of a diverse portfolio of retail and commercial assets across NSW. Working closely with the Group Operations Manager, this role will play a key part in ensuring our assets are safe, compliant, well-presented, and delivering an exceptional experience for tenants and visitors.

About the role:

This position will see you providing day-to-day operational support, assisting in repairs and maintenance, managing contractor performance, and supporting risk, compliance, and sustainability initiatives. You will be based in our NSW head office, with regular travel to assets across the Sydney metropolitan area.

The role also offers the opportunity to contribute to portfolio-wide initiatives in collaboration with the broader team, giving you exposure to multiple assets and a variety of operational challenges.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assist in the day-to-day facilities and operational management of NSW assets
  • Coordinate repairs, preventative maintenance, and capital works
  • Monitor and analyse operational and environmental performance
  • Support management of service contracts, contractor compliance, and KPI delivery
  • Assist with work health & safety, fire safety, and emergency response procedures
  • Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements
  • Support sustainability programs, including waste and solar initiatives
  • Assist with tenancy coordination and fit-out requirements
  • Maintain property and contractor registers

About you:

  • Experience in operations/facilities management, engineering, trade, or building services (retail shopping centre experience highly regarded)
  • Strong stakeholder and contractor management skills
  • Proven administrative ability and financial acumen
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proactive problem-solving skills and initiative
  • Full Australian working rights, driver's licence, and own transport
