St Joseph's College, Gregory Terrace is a Catholic Day School in the Edmund Rice tradition for young men in Years 5 to 12. We have a commitment to the formation of 'Gentlemen of Terrace' to be young men of faith and learning who will make a difference through knowledge, humility and wisdom.

The college has an enrolment of 1900 boys from Years 5 to 12, and a staff of approximately 240.

Applications are invited for the role of Dean of Students

Full time, continuing employment is offered. Appointment to the position is for 5 years + 5 years, in accordance with the Enterprise Collective Agreement, commencing January 2026.

As a member of the College Leadership Team, the Dean of Students is committed to St Joseph's College Mission, and assists and advises in areas of student safety, pastoral care, formation and major decision making. The key function of this role is to share with the Principal and Dean of Identity in the overall leadership of the College pastoral care and student formation programs. The Dean of Students leads the Pastoral Team, comprised of House Deans, Program Leaders and Counsellors. The Dean of Students leads the pastoral culture of the school, its practice of justice, service, discipline and respect for others.
