MostynCopper is a highly regarded consultancy offering project management and development advisory services to the construction and property development sectors. As MostynCopper continues to grow, it is now time to look for an experienced Finance Manager to join our team.

The Finance Manager will assist MostynCopper Leadership by driving financial strategy, governance and performance, with responsibility for day-to-day transaction processing, compliance, reporting and strategic financial management.

In this standalone role, the Manager will own the Finance function and cover everything from day-to-day transactional processing through to compliance, reporting, and strategic financial management. They will work closely with the Leadership team to provide accurate insights that drive performance and support the next stage of our growth.

The Role

Key Responsibilities

  1. Financial Management and Reporting: monthly reports, general ledger management, reconciliations, budgeting, forecasting and cash flow
  2. Transactional Accounting: end to end accounts payable and receivable processing, payroll, bank reconciliations, expense management
  3. Compliance and Governance: compliance with tax obligations, external liaison, internal controls and policies
  4. Business Support: internal champion for Total Synergy, financial analysis to support sound business decisions, identify opportunities for efficiencies, finance business partner to leadership team.

Core Experience and Skills

  1. professional accounting qualifications (CA/CPA equivalent or towards)
  2. 5+ years experience in broad finance role, preferably within the SME environment
  3. proven ability to work independently and take ownership of finance function
  4. Hands on, detail oriented, organised, problem solving mindset
  5. Strong communication skills and ability to engage with non-finance stakeholders
  6. Proficiency in relevant accounting and supporting software (Xero/Concur/MYOB etc) and Excel
