Bank of China Limited Sydney Branch is the oldest operating Chinese bank in Australia and is currently seeking an IT Engineer who has strong Project Management and Application Development skills to join Bank of China Sydney branch.

This is a Two Years Maximum Termcontract role, subject to review for an on-going position after contract period. To be successful in this role you need to have the below qualifications and skills.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Installing, configuring, and maintaining the application systems on different environments including testing and development
  • Develop and maintain batch processing
  • Applications support and troubleshooting
  • Managing the application event tickets
  • Communicating with other parties (service providers, internal IT team, IT team from Head Office, etc) for troubleshooting, root cause analysis, etc.
  • IT Projects assistance
  • IT documentations
  • Ad hoc job duties assigned by functional head.

Candidates should ideally:

  • At least 2 years development or application support experience ( at least 2 years project management and business analysis working experience in Financial institution is preferred)
  • Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or related
  • Strong Computer language knowledge – Python, SQL, power shell script, ftp, etc
  • Strong Database knowledge – Oracle, SQL Server, SSIS, etc
  • Application knowledge – MS Office, Web Server, JIRA, etc Basic knowledge of banking operations
  • Strong communication and troubleshooting skills
  • Good Technical documents writing and project management skill.
