ONESTEP SUPPORT is seeking both male and female Disability Support Workers to join our growing team

Location: Central Coast

Hours: 6 to 10 hours PW (opportunity to grow your roster)

Your Role

  • Personal Care: Provide assistance with daily living tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and medication management.
  • Emotional Support: Foster meaningful connections with participants to promote mental and emotional well-being.
  • Encouraging Independence: Support participants in achieving independence and personal goals outlined in their care plans.
  • Household Assistance: Help with meal preparation, cleaning, and laundry to ensure a safe living environment.
  • Safety and Monitoring: Ensure participant safety, conduct regular assessments, maintain accurate records, and follow safety protocols.
  • Compliance: Adhere to NDIS and organisational policies, procedures, and standards.

Qualifications and Requirements

Essential:

  • A current and valid driver's license.
  • Current First Aid Certificate (with a commitment to maintaining this certification).
  • Current vehicle insurance and ability to maintain coverage throughout employment.
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check or willingness to obtain.
  • Completion of the NDIS Quality and Safeguards online worker training module.
  • Certificate of completion in Medication Management training or willingness to obtain.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • National Police Check.
  • Working with Children Check or willingness to obtain.

Preferred:

  • Experience supporting participants with mental health needs.
  • Certificate III or IV in Aged Care, Disability, or Individual Support.
  • Staff that are available and wanting to work
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Proactive team player
  • Desire to contribute to a positive workplace environment
