ONESTEP SUPPORT is seeking both male and female Disability Support Workers to join our growing team

Location: Central Coast
Hours: 6 to 10 hours PW (opportunity to grow your roster)
Your Role
- Personal Care: Provide assistance with daily living tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and medication management.
- Emotional Support: Foster meaningful connections with participants to promote mental and emotional well-being.
- Encouraging Independence: Support participants in achieving independence and personal goals outlined in their care plans.
- Household Assistance: Help with meal preparation, cleaning, and laundry to ensure a safe living environment.
- Safety and Monitoring: Ensure participant safety, conduct regular assessments, maintain accurate records, and follow safety protocols.
- Compliance: Adhere to NDIS and organisational policies, procedures, and standards.
Qualifications and Requirements
Essential:
- A current and valid driver's license.
- Current First Aid Certificate (with a commitment to maintaining this certification).
- Current vehicle insurance and ability to maintain coverage throughout employment.
- NDIS Worker Screening Check or willingness to obtain.
- Completion of the NDIS Quality and Safeguards online worker training module.
- Certificate of completion in Medication Management training or willingness to obtain.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- National Police Check.
- Working with Children Check or willingness to obtain.
Preferred:
- Experience supporting participants with mental health needs.
- Certificate III or IV in Aged Care, Disability, or Individual Support.
- Staff that are available and wanting to work
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Proactive team player
- Desire to contribute to a positive workplace environment
